Nordic Iron Ore will produce an iron ore concentrate with an average iron content of close to 69 per cent. The fact that the concentrate is also of very high-quality means that it is well suited for the green steelmaking. Since mining occurs underground, no lasting open-cast damage is done to the landscape. The mine’s geographical location means that the transports to European steel mills will be relatively short and thus more environmentally friendly.<\/p>\n
In total, Nordic Iron Ore controls measured and indicated mineral resources of 87.4 million tonnes with an iron content of 36.2\u201341.7 per cent, and inferred mineral resources of 109.3 million tonnes with an iron content of 36\u201338.4 per cent according to the JORC standard.
